I liked when the boys had the same schedule as me. Our summer, Thanksgiving, Christmas and spring breaks were all the same. Summer was left for me and the boys to do as we chose as that is the husbands busy season, Thanksgiving was nice to be together as a family but it was never long enough, four days really. Christmas the boys and I had a good two weeks, kinda the husbands slower season and even though we managed to fit in some ski weekends, he still had work to do.
Since there is always work, the husband decided to take the week of our spring break off and vacation as a family. Oh the places we went, fun times and memories.
With the family moving on and creating lives of their own, I decided we needed to get back to family togetherness. Summer is still impossible for the husband. Thanksgiving and Christmas are now shared with their spouses families, so I grabbed spring break and ran with it.
I rented a beach house 9 months ago, put it on the calendar, sent out 'save the date' cards and made it next to impossible for them to not come. A no show wasn't an option.
By the look on everyones faces, I can safely say they had a GREAT time!
Uncles and brothers
The boys and their mama
Grandpa showing them how bean bag toss is played
Throwing sand was a favorite
This kid loved the beach, we had to drag him off every night
Big boy bean bag toss
Helping his uncle fly a kite.
The master sandcastle builder. Goes
to show your never too old.
Doesn't everyone want to be buried in the sand
A sandcastle in the making
Me and the girls.
Brothers
He's got it dialed in
A four generation ice cream break.
My favorite - the Maui Wowie
Game night
My son and his family
My son and his new bride
All of us
Frisbee golf
Yep, I think we are on to something. Time to revisit and old tradition and make it new again.

This is a great idea Saimi! Your family looks fun too!
You pulled it off like a pro. This is a splendid idea and you should book the place again for next year. Strike while the iron is hot like they say.
Family time is so very important. My mom used to say. " The family who play together stays together".
Beautiful family.
Hugs,

Forgot to mention that I love the idea of the Parson Family Reunion hoodies for the whole family. Great idea.

What a great looking family..Looks like everyone had a blast..Great memories...Some of our fondest memories were our times at the shore..
So glad you took the initiative and made that reservation, I have been thinking about doing that for our family too. It looks like you had great weather for your little vacation and everyone looks like they had a great time. Those little twins aren't so little anymore, still quite adorable though.
Such a great idea!!! Way to go.
I need to put this idea into action. We never are able to all get together anymore.
You have a beautiful looking family.
I love this and it looks like you all had such a great time!!!
