Their hurrah was a week in Orlando.
What an incredible way to relax, have some down time and enjoy all that Disney has to offer after an intense six months of pushing yourself to meet quota's and before diving back into school.
I know the feeling. I was extremely busy this summer as well meeting my quota of spending time with family. Actually, it was hard to tell if I was coming or going but if you were to ask the husband he would definitely say I was going.
When our son and his wife asked us to travel to Orlando and spend a week with them visiting the Disney parks and hotspots, naturally we accepted, how could we not? I was already a week into preschool so a trip across the country to rest and relax was just what the doctor ordered, had I gone to the doctor.
Little did I know this vacation was anything but resting and relaxing. If I ever thought hanging out with our twin grandsons was busy and tiring, they are nothing compared to two twenty something year olds.
We were up at the crack of dawn to catch a bus to the parks and stayed on the go till ten at night. We averaged ten walking miles a day with a sprint at the end of the night to catch the shuttle back to the resort.
We rode more rides than I can count with each one perfectly calculated and scheduled. Our daughter in law had an app on her phone which checked the availability, times and the ability to reserve fast passes.
Times have changed considerably since the last time we visited a Disney park but one thing you can count on to stay the same, it's most definitely everything they say it is, the happiest place on earth!

I never thought of Disney as relaxing...Glad that you had a good time and were able to go..I always swear I'll never go back..The strollers are overwhelming...Used to go about every 10 years..
I've never been to Disney and or ever contemplated on going. Looking at all the busyness makes me dizzy.
I can see it would be hard to keep up with the younger adults. That app is cool. Kids are so techky. I'm afraid, I'm getting behind in technology. It's advancing too fast for me.
I'm so glad you had a great vacation even though it was action packed.
Have a great Sunday.
Hugs,
JB
You have had a busy summer. That is great that they invited you to hang out with them. I'm sure the extra pair of hands to help out with twins was a bonus too. Not likely that their was much complaining though.
Ten miles a day. Good for you. Quite the marathon.
What a fun adventure, getting to spend time with your son and daughter-in-law is always a bonus.
Thanks for the sweet comments on my recent blog post (which I ended up having to delete because a family member felt the need to berate me over it, but that's a story for another day). I often think of you when we zip by Yakima on our way to Spokane. I can still taste those juicy peaches you gave us. Keep up with your fun adventures and keep us posted, I love seeing what you have been up to.
