Family time

Holy cow its amazing, we've been back a week already after being gone for a week. Life doesn't stop and seems to be moving faster the older I get.

This is why four years ago our family committed to a yearly get together where we gather somewhere and spend a week enjoying each others company, creating memories and strengthening our family bond.

This year's vacation was in Park City Utah. I've never been to Park City but it's everything everyone has ever said about it which is, there is definitely enough to do to keep a family busy.

Here's a few highlights:
Giant Jenga: Our oldest son made the game as well as our family shirts and sweatshirts.
Perhaps wearing a hard hat would have been a good idea. Luckily we had good reflexes and were able to move out of the way when those blocks came tumbling down.
Preparing for Easter:

Game night, every night which in our case may have not been the best thing. We have a tendency to get a bit riled up with each other.
Not the little guys though, they handle it more like adults by having fun and taking it in stride because you know, its just a game.
We used the outdoor pool, hot tub and sauna daily. The pool was heated to 95 degrees making it easier to be in our swimsuits in 40 degree weather.
Went tubing:

Did a little hiking:

A couple of our son's went skiing, since I didn't go I asked them to take pictures for me.
At first I thought this was their way of teasing their mama
But apparently the snow was better on the other side of the sign and they did in fact ski beyond the resort. Boys will be boys, right?

My niece who lives in Utah came and spent a day with us so we took the kids bowling.
And spent some time in down town Park City.
While the guys were skiing and doing what they do, us girls did what girls do best and treated our toes to a pedicure.
The kids went to an escape room and figured out the clues. I guess you have 60 minutes to get out.
Glad to see they made it.

We also went to an aquarium, shopped, ate ice cream at a cute little ice-cream store, laughed and stayed up way too late.

The week was over before we knew it, but the time spent will stay with us forever.

That looks like an amazing time of fellowship! I imagine the time just flew by. A friend of mine recently married on a ski slope in Utah. The scenery is lovely. Have a blessed weekend.

Oh my gosh you get to go to the nicest places. Lol - I get to stay home - but we did travel when the kids were younger. I took the boys - 16 - to an escape room and they did not get out - lol. Personally I would take the hot tub. Sandie

Hi!

You and your family know how to party!! Park City is so fun, so much to do and so many beautiful sights to see. I love that you guys actually GO somewhere! All of my kids live close, so we always just hang out at someones house. I think I would have to pass on that giant Jenga game, it looks like you could get hurt, good thing you have good reflexes! Your grands are so adorable!! Nothing like spending time with those you love... :0)

I love Neil Diamond too! The other night some friends invited us over for dinner and a movie...guess what we watched...The Jazz Singer!! We loved it!!

Have a wonderful week-end!!

Hugs and Love,
Barb

I love how you make this an annual event to go somewhere with the whole family. It looks like a lot of fun for everyone. Such great memories to look back on years from now... I'm envious of the pedicure. I really need one too.

Have a great weekend.
Hugs, Julia
