In preschool I could always predict when the moon was on the rise just by observing the children's erratic behavior.
It's as if their little bodies were possessed with an energy surge causing them to bounce off the walls creating an indoor tornado whirling and twirling about causing a wake of destruction in their path.
It's gonna be a full moon soon, I'd tell the other teachers and 99.9 times I'd be correct.
Same goes for the horses.
They'll act all wild and crazy running around bucking and snorting as if some invisible force is teasing and taunting them then typically a few days later, the moon will be lighting up the night sky is all it's beautiful glory and the craziness will be over.
I'm no longer in a preschool setting but that full moon rising has been playing tricks on us these last couple of days.
The husbands predicament is trying to get his computer to accept some kind of program to help with his billing causing him major frustration.
He's feeling overwhelmed and behind with the office work. Like one step forward and two steps backwards.
I've been giving him some space until the handle to the hot water facet came off.
'Um honey?'
Yeah, bug.
"Remember when I told you the handle in the bathroom was loose?
Yes.
Well It came off and I can't turn the water off.
'SON of a GUN! He gets up from his chair, throws his hat on the ground and storms into the bathroom.
I starting giggling and said, 'Did you just throw your hat on the ground?
He's like, 'Well nothings going right and I don't need anymore problems."
I know, but it was kinda cute seeing you have a little tantrum.
Once he turned off the water underneath the sink I told him we can fix it later.
Since I had some sewing to do I went into the sewing room and plugged in an extension cord to the power strip when POP! The extension cord blew and the lights in the room went off.
Honey? Not sure if I should bother him but I did anyway.
Giggling, my extension cord popped and the lights went out downstairs.
He gave me that look then reset the breaker and went back into his office and I went back downstairs.
While I was setting out my most recent project that we've been working on in our quilt class I noticed I was short some blocks.
Seriously, this can't be happening. I looked all over the sewing room and couldn't find the rest of my project so I called the gal who teaches our class and asked her if I left some of my blocks at her house.
As it turned out, I did and if I wanted to get any sewing done I needed to go and retrieve my missing blocks. It wasn't just a few blocks but the instructions and an important photo as well.
Coincidence you may say, superstitious perhaps or just maybe the full moon rising makes the world a little off kilter, but if you happen to notice that big beautiful moon on Tuesday night and think, Wow that's really something!
Know I'll be thinking, that moon is full because it was filled with pranks and trickery.

You always have a good story and I'm glad that you shared it with us.
I have had days like that when I worked at the farm. Some days, everything that can go wrong, will go wrong. I blame it on the gremlins.
I hope all the problems have been fixed and calm has resumed at your house.
Hugs, Julia
the moon was so big and bright driving to the YMCA this morning it was blinding and beautiful... and now I know why the &%^$#@ raccoons have been CRAZY for the past 3 nights, midnight running round and round on the roof woke me up, that was 2 nights ago, today I have been up since 2:35 because they were SCREAMING and screeching while making babies UNDER THE MOON.... never heard such a racket and Big boy was going crazy, as was I. one was drinking from the pool at 3:30 when bob woke up, he slept through all the screaming, and I shined the high been flash light in his face and he did a stare down at me... I hope they will calm down when the moon starts to wane... I had a fit of giggles at your hubby story... so much like here... I always despise when I have to tell mine something is broken... he never takes it well, full or no moon.... we did have WORDS at 3:30...just so you know
forgot to say, I worked the midnight shift at a county hospital ER, Friday/Saturday nights, for a year. when the MOON hit on the week end OH MY.. every crazy in the city came out. it really is true
Oh my goodness that was cute - but it is not the moon for us - that happens just about every day and my hubs is the same exact way.
This is so so true! I guess there is something "scientific" about it they have proven by now??! ha ha .....maybe not. But the powerful moon DOES cause shifts and ebbs and flows and the tides of the ocean and many other "energy surges" and physical things. Fascinating isn't it? Did you got get your quilt squares??
True!!!
Always smile when I visit here, my friend!
WOW! I don't know if I've ever noticed this before, but I'll start paying attention. I DO hope all is better on the home front for you both.
If you notice dry decay at the blossom end of your fruiting vegetables, blossom end rot could be to blame. This is caused by a lack of calcium in your soil. To remedy the rot organically, use eggshells. Crush three or four eggshells and bury them in the soil around the affected plant.
