Indulgences

A little about me, not that anyone asked or cares but hey it's my blog and I can write what I want. But in case you do want to know, the husband married a pretty low maintenance girl. I'm very practical, I don't like to shop (unless it's for someone else) I'm not very fashionable and have no idea how to do hair. Blow dry and go that's my motto, if that doesn't work, then it's a ponytail day. I don't need all kinds of hair products or make up for that matter.

I'm easy going and can have fun in just about any situation, unless it's going on a 6 hr. Mt. climb to a base camp trudging in snow. I believe Mrs. Nasty came out and reared her ugly head. (I wish the zit on my nose would rear it's ugly head so I can remove it, gads that thing is painful!) I could blame it on the high altitude but I know myself better than that. The husband handled his witchy wife with a tremendous amount of patience and surprised me by pulling a rose out of his backpack once we reached our destination. One I did not deserve. It was a good thing summiting the mountain was not in the plan, or I'd still be sitting up there with my butt planted in the snow.

Anyway, a few things I do indulge in is, summer pedicures, girls night out, a trip to the beauty salon every 6 weeks, a professional massage, and taking my car through the car wash. I like to ride my horse, quilt and eat chocolate, but I consider those more of a hobby than an indulgence.

Today was a car wash day. I try to use my time wisely while the car wash machine is doing it's thing like, take a short nap, clean out my purse, listen to the radio, talk on the phone or read a book.

I didn't get the opportunity to do either of those things today because as the jets were soaking my car, I noticed the inside of my car was getting soaked as well....Yes, it might be a good idea to close the back windows before the wash starts up. Now imagine trying to close the windows in a panic and not being able find the right button. Windows were going up and down and water was spraying everywhere.

I was too embarrassed to ask the attendant, who was drying the outside of my car, if he would mind drying me and the inside of my car as well. No, I saved that task for when I got home.

AHhhhh!! Uh-oh - that's a bummer ... unless of course the car wash uses that really yummy fruitie smelling pink, yellow and blue soap. Then, I'll have seconds, please! ... that's AWFUL, isn't it? But the soap my local car wash uses smells SO GOOD - I could almost taste it!!!!

I'm a little higher maintenance, not because I want to be. It takes me a little more effort to be as cute as you. But I am pretty easy going and you can count on me to bring the life to the party. I'm only a little dramatic, sometimes. eh hem. Anything for a laugh. That is so sweet your hubby gave you a rose! Did he sparkle in the sun? ;-)

I have done the same thing before with the windows! LOL I was more high maintenance when I was younger (before hubby and kids), but have had to let those ideas go once they arrived! LMAO
