September is the Birthday month for our family. Boom one, two, three all within a week of each other my son, me and my husband share in birthday celebrations. Our middle boy, the college graduate turned Financial Advisor, treated us to a white water rafting trip as a combined birthday gift/adventurous day together.
The birthday three
The trip involved rafting 21 miles down this river
in these rafts
Wearing this getup
After we were done and worked up a powerful
hunger the crew cooked us a steak BBQ.
This smiley guy was our rafting guide who
showed us a wild time on the river
We didn't lose a single person although those sitting in front experienced what water boarding felt like.
The birthday celebrations continued the following weekend as the husband and I partied at the fair.
The husband enjoyed a little pampering since it was his birthday and all.
What do you think, would my car be jealous if I went pink?
Of course it wouldn't be the fair if we didn't enjoy some good food,
good as in greasy and fattening that is.

Hi Siami, thanks for joining my followers and for your comment on my blog. I've joined your too and I'll be back.
My you are a brave woman to go rafting but with all those strong men on board it must have been fun.
Happy Birthday everyone. What a nice gift and what a great adventure. That pink car is very noticeable but must be a job to park.
Take care and have a great weekend. JB
PS, That quilt is just beautiful. I'm not surprized that it won you a blue ribbon. Congratulations. JB
Love your blue ribbon quilt!
You look very cute in your "rafting" suit! We've rafted down the Payette River in Idaho with our family. It was a blast!!
Happy Birthday to all 3 of you! Looks like it was quite the celebration month!
I think I'm in love with the pink limo!
That looks like an awesome birthday present! That is one of my big bummers about my hearing loss... I've always wanted to do that, but without my hearing-aid, I'd be at the mercy of everyone getting ticked when I can't hear to do the right thing, ha!
And those tornado potatoes are insane! :)
Happy late birthday!
Super fun post!! You are lovely and entertaining. :) I would loved to have joined you in your activities. That fried food is calling my name!!
Your September sounds like mine...with all the birthdays. Along with mine, I have 8 family members with birthdays (not to mention the friends) When I lived in Utah, we just took one day in September and had a HUGE b-day party and it was so fun.
The river rafting trip sounds pretty exciting, but I think I would have been a little freaked by it. And your guide...he looked pretty young, I would have asked him, "hey if you don't even have hair on your chest, you aren't taking me out there" (tee, hee)
good job on getting a ribbon for your quilt. I love fairs.
Happy belated birthday! You know how to celebrate! It all looks like so much fun. I have been white water rafting a few times in my life and loved it.
Now you all know how to celebrate birthdays...how fun! Thanks for sharing it all; :D
