Home Sweet Home

The husband and I took a road trip last weekend to help our son and his pregnant wife (carrying my twin Grandbabies) with their new home. They out grew their tiny pea sized apartment and were ready to embrace some square footage where they can move and chase two little up coming boys.
It's a lovely home with a beautiful yard. The previous owner was in the landscaping business and did a remarkable job with his skills. He planted a variety of flowering plants so there would be color year round.

My son had a list of projects for his father. They installed a washer and dryer, a doggy door, new door handles throughout the house and mounted their t.v. on the wall.

Men at work
While they were working on the manly projects my DIL and I cleaned the house from top to bottom. She was quite a trooper and tried not to show how tired she was. Finally, she gave herself a break and sat for a spell.
I took advantage of the break and took more pictures of the flowers that surround the house. I love flowers.
Our trip was a short one. Two days of driving to and from and two days to get the house ready for the move.
It really made me sad to leave, but you can bet your bottom dollar I'll be back when those babies are born.

Beautiful home and great landscaping. I hope that they will be very happy there. You must be happy for them. Waiting for new babies to arrive is so nerve racking at the end. JB

Gorgeous house! Gorgeous landscaping! I am slightly jealous. Bret loves doing yardwork, so I'm excited to one day have a yard for him to work. :)
They just don't build houses like this in AZ. Everything is yucko stucco.

Best of luck to them! Life is just way exciting!

My husband and I bought our first home about three years ago...it was the most excited and nervous we have ever been. To go through that with two little ones on the way...wow! Good for them!

How very nice to have such beautiful gardens already established.
It takes us a two day drive to go see one of our grand daughters, and only an hour the other direction to see the rest of the grand-kids. I wish Gwendolyn lived closer. We do get to see her two or three times a year.

What a beautiful yard! They are lucky to have had that work already done - she certainly won't have time next summer! What a wonderful mom and dad - that never changes does it?! We will always be there for our kidos!

Hugs,
Barb

How fabulous to have the garden so organized already, that's one of the biggest jobs when moving into a new house, and so beautifully planted. I can see it giving them (and your future grandchildren) lots of pleasure.

Ahhh, what a great feeling to buy your first home. I'll bet your son and daughter-in-law are so happy to have a little time to get settled in before the babies arrive. Love the yard and all the wonderful landscaping. When are the babies due? I can just imagine you checking off the days until they finally get here.

That is so fun! Owning a house requires so many chores. But nice that they don't have to worry about the yard.
How much longer til those babies arrive?

Holy FUN! That looks like something that I would love my parents around for. Good thing I learned a thing or two while I was living with them so I can do it on my own. Or maybe they will make the trip up? You two are great for helping them. I am sure it is much appreciated. Good thing they have that room set up for you to come. :)
