How to cook a Turkey.....First Grade style

Thank you everyone for sharing your recipes on how to cook a turkey. Although they sound wonderful and tasty, I think we can learn a tip or two from some first grade students.

Read on:

* One boy said to take a 40 pound bird on the barbecue grill, then serve it with chicken. "No don't use the barbecue insists another boy, cook it in a frying pan for some minutes and then have chocolate chip ice cream."

* Someone else said to just use the microwave and cook the turkey for 10 hours. While you wait you can eat some quesadillas.

* Personally I like the one whose in a hurry, he said his turkey will bake in the oven for only for one minute, but his friend said his turkey will do a slow burn, baking at 50 degrees.

* A couple of girls offered their opinion. One said  she'll cook her bird for 50 minutes then add 'whip cream and a little cherry on the top." The other will cover her turkey with chocolate and ketchup.

What about the stuffing???? No worries, they have it covered:

* "Fill the inside of the turkey with feathers," one girl said. She's not picky,  any kind of bird feathers will do.

* Another girl added, "Her turkey will be stuffed with eggplant and six eggs."

* My favorite, one boy is going to fill his with hot dogs before popping it in the microwave.

There you have it folks,
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, however your bird is cooked!

Those are some pretty good instructions, I especially like the one about stuffing the turkey with feathers. (I always wondered what they did with the feathers anyway.)

It is always a delight to hear a child's point of view on how things are done. I love the hot dog one as well.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Kids are just great aren't they? I don't know how old you are but Art Linkletter had a show and he would ask the kids something about their parents while on the show - kids say the darnedest things. Thanks for coming by my blog and leaving a comment. Happy Thanksgiving. sandie

Gosh, my entire family still teases me about the time I said, "Hey, where's the ketchup?" at the thanksgiving table. I was 4!

Ann & Nye.
They got the Nyannyan blues.
With Oggertt 55.
And if it hadn't been for Daydon 2 and Ricdan 27, they wouldn't have reserved Itabless 66 at the Aknokin Cafe with " Bobbi Starr".
That's how they cooked Sculls, the SC company.
So much for " Messy Jesse Crafts " and space dust.
And TCO.
They just used too much of that gold iodine carbon on turkey.
And took out the rice.
( Ada helped.)
