Blogger is telling me I need to upgrade my storage, therefore I can't post any pictures until I do. Now how can I post about my new twin GRANDBABIES without pictures? That would just be cruel and unusual punishment which in turn, would just be plain cruel.
My dilemma is, I don't know how to go about this without giving blogger my credit card. I tried deleting albums from Picasa to make more room for new pictures but that hasn't worked. So do I start deleting old post to make room for new post?
I'm OK with doing that as I have booked all of my old post up to this last year so I have a hard copy of them, I just don't know if that would do the trick and I don't want to start deleting if I don't have to.
All I know is I have much to write about, but I'm not comfortable with Blogger dipping into my credit card every month.
Any suggestions?

Use photobucket for some other place for your pictures from now on. I upload all my pictures to photo bucket and then add them through that and after 4 years of blogging my storage is only at like 36%-- and that was after uploading right to blogger for about 30% of that. If you need more help figuring that out just let me know.
This happened to me too so I am switching over to wordpress :( Can't wait to see pictures of the grandbabies!
I'm commenting here because I want you know that when you comment, I can never reply to you directly. You must have the email option not checked so when you leave comments, it goes to noreply@blogger.
I was so shocked that his/her name was my name, I wasn't even paying attention to the handshake! And I have a pretty strong grip, so she/he was probably like DAMN, another one.
I have a cousin who chose to perform as a drag queen for a brief stint and his name was none other than mine. And I've seen other drag queens on tv and such that choose that name. Google it. It comes up. It's sooooooo wrong.
And I will always say your name right in my head now that you taught me how to say it. I always thought there was an extra syllable. And that you must be Asiam (probably because my very closed mind thought of Siam and that's pretty close)
Oh and now that I read your post, this is what i learned to do with the picture fiasco. For all new pictures, do this. BEfore you upload them, go to a photo editor like Paint or Microsoft photo editor. Go to edit pictures and select resize. In the custom box, make it 800 by something smaller than 800 (in photo editor, it automatically chooses something for the second box when I choose 800 for the first). Then save it. Then upload it. It becomes smaller in the world of bytes, but it looks pretty much the same, so we'll never know the difference. And something about being that much smaller, it won't count toward your limit. It's actually really easy now that i know what to do and takes a minute. I just always have to remember to do it!
The dilemma is that for all of the pictures you already put up, you would have to take them off, resize them and put them back up.
I just pay the five dollar with my credit card and it's last a long time. When my space is getting near done I get a reminder that they will take the $5.00 automatically unless I don't want to buy any space.
I've never had problem with them. I upload huge pictures and I probably should try to resize them because Blogger will not let me change my header photo to the size it was before. It's tiny now. I'll have to check my file size.Good luck with this.

I hope you get this figured out soon because I can't wait to see those babies.
You have your new grand babies? And we have to wait to hear about them until we can see them too? Oh cruel. I bet they are cute though. I deleted pictures from Picasa and that worked for me, but then I ran out again and changed to google plus to get more memory. I'm not sure what I'll do when I run out again.
Don't give them your card...you will be hacked. Can you call them and find out more options?
I am so excited to hear about the new grand-babies. I hope they are healthy and well.
Hi Saimi!
I had this same problem a few months ago, and I refuse to pay for picture space!! Sparkling is right, you need to change the size of your pictures - before - you post them. I use Photoscape, and it's really easy to change the size of the picture - I always change it to 600. You will need to go in to Picasa and delete some of your photos, it may take them off of your blog, but once you do that, you will free up enough space to post more pictures, just by changing the pixel size everytime you post a picture. Good luck. I know it's a hassle, but I haven't had any problem. I always go in an delete my header photos if they are big, but I just keep them small to avoid problems.
We really want to see pictures of the babies!!
Hugs,
Barb
I have heard of a few people having this problem. It sounds like Emmy has it figured out.
You need to get it figured out, cuz I'm anxious to be able to see pictures, ultrasounds, you know, all sorts of grandma type pictures.
new grandbabie pictures woohoo can't wait I had no idea blogger did this they charge us for storage really?? ugh what next??
Not sure how that works, but can't wait to see pics of the new babies! Congratulations!
I have all my pictures saved to Photobucket, and they give me a URL code. I upload them to Photobucket, then copy the URL codes into the blogger picture uploader where it says URL code. It's totally free and unlimited and I have made all my albums private, so only I can see. :)
Yea for twin grandbabies!!
I always shrink my photos so I haven't run out of space yet, but after four years of tons of photos I'm probably getting close.
I haven't heard of the photobucket thing though. That's a good idea!
