Holy sweat

I am not a fan of sweat. It grosses me out. If the husband or our son comes back from a bike ride with sweat dripping from their body, I'm like, don't get near me. I love ya, but I'm not gonna hug ya.

I'm fortunate my body agrees with me as I don't sweat. Oh I'll heat up when I exercise and my face gets flushed, but nothing like I'm leaking from every pore as if a facet has been left on, until recently.

One of my sons invited me to attend a hot yoga class with him. My first thought, which I kept to myself, was no way. I've done yoga and I like it, but the thought of being in an over the top hot room without any air flow does not sound appealing so naturally..... I said yes.
How can I turn down an invitation to spend time with my boy?

As I was checking in the lady asked if I've experienced hot yoga before. I told her I've done yoga and if it's anything like having a hot flash at the same time then I can relate.

I finished the paperwork and entered the studio. The floor was heated and the room was exceptionally warm. I kinda liked it. The busyness of the day started to drain out of me and I felt I could have curled up on my mat and taken a nap.

It wasn't long before the instructor began instructing.  I was familiar with the poses alright, it was the feeling of sweat dripping down my back, and face, and boobs I wasn't familiar with. One might even say I was sweating like a pig. Realistically speaking, before the class that would have been a true statement since pigs don't actually sweat, but in this case, I was sweating more like a horse.

Ever see a horse sweat? They can work up a lather in no time, which would have been the best way to describe what I must have looked like when I came out of the room.

I did enjoy the class and will definitely return for another session and although I'm not a fan of sweat, I'll probably bring my own fan.

When I was a little girl, my grandfather used to say " When a person sweats it shows they're in good health" so i don't mind if a person sweat as long as they shower to prevent that BO.

I work outdoors in warmer weather and I break out in a sweat but I shower to keep body oder away. It takes the toxin out of the body and is very health like my grandfather said.

I've heard of the Hot Yoga but I've never experienced it. How sweet of your son to invite you to do Hot Yoga.

This morning it's -27°C or -16.6 °F. I wish I could work uo a good sweat cause I sure need to warm up after being in a freezer of a barn for 4 hours and 15 minutes. All the water pipes and water bowls were frozen, I had to use the blow dryer to thaw the connections.
Enjoy your week.
Hugs,
JB

My sister teaches yoga. She's tried hot yoga, and I think she didn't like that her hands got sweaty and it was hard not to start slipping! Hugging sweat doesn't really sound appealing does it? I like your post about the cloud too. That's what blogs are for -- those things we want to remember -- and then don't. Right?
