Hanging with the boys

Oh how I love Christmas vacation, part of the perks for working in a school district. Winter, spring and summer are all welcomed and very much anticipated not to mention the Labor day, Presidents day and Memorial day making for a nice long weekend between breaks.

After a week at home and spending Christmas with all of us, with the exception of our eldest son and his family,

I took my last week of vacation to visit our eldest son and his family.

I'm not sure who was more excited to play, me or the twins. They provided new Christmas toys and I brought my snow gear.

We also made marshmallow snowmen every morning. It was a breakfast of champions full of candy and sugar but hey, they loved it and the parents were sleeping, what else could I do.

By the time I left we exhausted the marshmallow bag and all the candy.
Not only did we play upstairs, but in the basement as well.
They each had this scooter thing that I hitched together with some rope. They laughed and giggled while I pulled and whipped them around. The faster the better.

One of the best parts for me was sleeping between their beds so I could wake up to them every morning. They would crawl under the covers of the air mattress and we would squeeze in some hugs before they were ready to embrace the day.

They even had a Christmas stocking waiting for me. They know their Grandma loves her Seahawks.

The weekend went way too fast but missing them just gives me our family spring vacation to look forward to.

My cheeks hurt - this post made me smile, and I don't even feel like smiling!! What a fun grandma you are, and what cute little's you have! Marshmallows for breakfast . . . I love that idea . . . for my grands, not for me, just sayin'. And, your bed right between them, just too adorable, I can only imagine the fun you must have had!

You and your cute DIL look so cute in your red and green, very Christmasy!

I hope your snow day happens! It's suppose to rain all day tomorrow, so things will melt just enough to get nice and mushy, then freeze and get nice and slick! Fun, fun post!

So glad you enjoyed the snow.

Of course you will always be the favorite grandma if you are eating marshmallows for breakfast.
