29 years

Out of our three sons, our middle boy has kept us on the sidelines cheering for him at every event.

All the boys played soccer when they were little, but for two of them that's where their sporting events ended and their other interest took over.

Derek was the one who stayed with the sports. Wrestling, football, golf, skiing, snowboarding, bicycling, triathlons,
ect..

So it seemed fitting to be celebrating his 29th birthday at a cycle cross course, once again, cheering him on.

Watching him compete never gets old, exhausting maybe, but never old.
 Over hurdles,
 uphill, downhill,

through sandpits
lap after lap
trying to stay ahead of the pack.
Rain was predicted and we were
very thankful it started right after he finished.
Derek's activities may vary from time to time
but one thing that has always stayed the same,
He's not afraid to get dirty.

Wow, that sounds like quite the grueling workout. You must be so proud of Dereck. He has so much determination and he looks very fit and good looking.
Hugs, Julia

Hi Saimi!

That's amazing, looks more like work than play! What a wonderful birthday event, I'll bet life is never dull with him around! And what a handsome young man he is, he looks very much like his mom... :0) Happy Birthday, Derek!

Hugs,
Barb
