The Twinado's struck Washington

We made it a tradition to where our twin grandsons come visit for a couple of weeks in the summer. One week goes by so fast it only seems natural to have them for at least two.

One of the boys would stay forever if he could, where as the other isn't ready to trade his mom in just yet.

Since they live 10 hours away and a couple of states apart we coordinate with their parents to meet in the middle making it less driving for both parties.

To say the least, the fun began on June 1st and didn't stop till the 15th...... literally.
We played a lot, but there were also chores to do. It didn't take them long to realize horses poop a ton.
They didn't mind as the reward was sweet.
Swimming was a must as the weather was perfect so next to riding everyday, they also swam.
Then there was the trampoline park,
and making slime

Oliver wanted to see his glow in the dark so he took it into the bathroom, and well lets just say he was slimed.
Grandpa surprised the boys with new bikes because as we all know, he's the bike guy.
The ones they brought were on the small side so grandpa does what he does and next thing the boys knew, they were riding new bikes.

When the neighbors came over to play, we had quite the bike gang riding around.
After the first week at home, I took them to Vancouver for the weekend to see their aunt and uncle. We walked around the Farmers market, visited a children's museum and saw the movie, The secret life of pets 2.

While waiting for the movie George and I taught the boys how to play chess.
The second week we had them we took them camping.
Grandpa taught them how to play a dice game called ten thousand. They really caught on and played a few competitive  rounds.
Our camp site was close to Leavenworth making it  convenient to see the cute Bavarian town.
Once we got back from camping we only had one day to swim and gather their things together before the long return drive.
Before they left, we printed pictures of their time with us and they each put their photos in their own album to keep as a reminder of the fun times we had.
I'm missing these little rascals already but the summer is young, I'm sure I'll head their way before school starts just for another squeeze and a hug.

Those little dudes are turning out to be so handsome...What great adventures these two have with you. No wonder they love to be with you. It looks sweet all the way around except when it's time to part. I can't believe how fast they have grown.
Of course grandpa has to buy them new bikes. It won't be long before these will be too small for them.

Enjoy your 4th of July. This is our Canada Day Long weekend on July 1st which happens to be on Monday.

Take care, hugs, Julia

Awww..what fun those kids had with you...something they will remember all their lives, I know. AND new bikes to boot! You sure packed a lot into the two weeks they had with you. You probably tired them out and they were ready to go home for a rest. lol

Have a wonderful Sunday night- xo Diana

What a fun it looked like you had - your grandchildren are very blessed. And love those new bikes grandpa bought. And swimming - that water looked inviting. They will have such great memories.
