The BIG surprise, it happened on Aug.11 2019

So, how's the trailer? The trailer meaning a smaller one in which the husband traded his Airstream Basecamp for.

When we took our last trip to Idaho to see our son and his family, the husband found a small Winnebago at an RV place and decided it would be a better fit than his little Basecamp.

Ok. It's the way he rolls. When the boys asked why he needed another trailer, the husband replied, "Because grandpa is off his rocker."

Now another trip to Idaho was in the making. We needed to come home regroup then turn around so we can haul the Basecamp to trade for the Minnie Winnie.

As it turned out, the husband had to go solo as I needed to stay home and tend to the horses due to the fact our regular guy who takes care of them was out of town.

I wasn't heart broken because my parents were coming to visit the following week and I had things to do to prepare for their arrival.

When the husband rolled into the driveway on Sunday the 11th with his new trailer I came out to see it and asked how it was, he told me it had a problem. As soon as he opened the door to show me, the twins yelled SURPRISE!!!

And what a surprise it was! He brought them all the way back from Idaho to spend another week with us. I was so excited to see them and they were so proud of themselves for surprising me.

The timing was perfect, it gave both my parents and the boys a chance to get to know each other as it's been quite awhile since they have last met.

It was fun involving my parents in the crazy, active, non-stop life of what the boys and I do and I gotta say, they were right in the middle of things and didn't hold back.
I was pretty proud of them.
After all they did raise 5 children and have more grandkids and great grandkids than I can count.
I just feel really lucky that my grandchildren have the opportunity to know their great grandparents, not just on my side but the husbands as well.
I wasn't as fortunate growing up so each moment the boys get to spent with their great grandparents are moments I cherish and hold dear.

What a great story and a nice surprise. The grandkids are growing like weeds and your mom looks so young. I know where you get your good looks from and your fun attitude to life. That pool looks so inviting. Lucky kids to get to ride the horses.
Enjoy the rest of the summer. It's slipping by fast. I'm looking forward to seeing the new trailer.
Hugs, Julia

That's so wonderful that you got to see your twins and they got to see their great-grandparents. I sometimes pray that God will let me live long enough to see my great-grands!!!! I'm thankful though that my two grandchildren (only ones I'll ever have) live close by...they are my heart and soul!!!

You certainly are blessed with a great family. Not too many people get to know their great's. My girls knew my Grandma and Coach's Grandpa's until they were in their early teens and that was a blessing. Enjoy!!
