Well I got my game back when my daughter in law had a baby shower. They rolled into town Monday night and spent Christmas Eve and Christmas day with us then left on Thursday as our son had to work on Friday.
Friday night her family hosted a BBQ and baby shower for them. I grabbed my mother in law and the two of us drove down on Friday for the shower then spent the night with the expected parents before coming home on Saturday.
Whats a shower without games? They melted certain foods on baby diapers and we had to smell them to guess what was they were.
He thanked his mom.
They really got some cute girly clothes because you just can't go wrong when shopping for a baby girl.We already had two boys so all the grandparents were just sure he was going to be a girl. He proved them wrong when he came out a 8lb 12oz baby boy.
I love that it has come full circle. The baby clothes meant for him can now be worn by his daughter crocheted by her great, great grandma.
I'd say 29 years was well worth the wait.

what a blessing you had, a double blessing, Christmas and a baby shower for your new granddaughter. the two crocet dresses are adorable and what memories come with them... Blessings and happiness to all of your family in this new year, and to the little girl born in the year 2020..
Hahaha, I love the diaper game. What fun...
Congratulations on the new baby girl to come soon.
Love the crocheted dress and sweater.
Wishing you all the best in 2020.

Same here, Saimi!! I never even took out my camera or my phone on Christmas, so unlike me!! Sounds like you had a really good Christmas though, even without photos ;0)
A baby girl! They have such so many cute things for girls these days. When my kids were little, my sister and I shared clothes...she had a boy and I had a girl, clothes were very neutral! I love that you kept the dress and sweater, even if they never use them, they will be a priceless treasure.
Happy New Year to you and your family!! I pray that you will be very blessed!! Hugs to you!
Double blessings! How very exciting to have a baby girl in the family and I love that you saved the dresses meant for baby Georgette. Congratulations.
The crochet things are SO SO SO very special...even more special now--since you saved them for the future! Loved all the fun pictures....and wow, look at that big stack of prettily wrapped baby presents!! Showers are fun. I havent been to one in decades I don't think. When is the little girl due???--very happy and excited for y'all!
How wonderful to be able to give those garments carrying a history of family love forward to your granddaughter.
