Friends

Gotta run, love to chase, compelled to bite, but not a dog in the house to play with. Actually it doesn't have to be a dog, just another companion to wrestle with, someone to call a friend. Someone, who understands what it feels like to have energy that must be released.

Let me introduce Boo the cat. This little black and white kitten came to us in December freezing and needing a home, as you can guess, he found the right place. He was the most mellow kitten, perfectly content to stay snuggled up on your lap purring and would wrap his arms around you at the slightest hint of being put down. Never seen a kitten so aloof.....Or so I thought, after a day or so his personality emerged. Running, chasing, teasing Queen Cat, and attacking everything in sight, even if it didn't move. Yes this purring, gentle, sweet little feline turned out to be a kitten down to the very core.
The dogs would tolerate this playful fur ball but at all possible, keep their distance. The Queen Cat has zero tolerance and wasted no time establishing her dominance. With the dogs at her claw tips obeying her every command , she set out to educate psycho kitty who the boss is. Well Boo seemed to enjoy the lesson, the more she growled and hissed, the more he wanted a piece of her. He was relentless, batting her then running, practicing his stalking and leaping skills, attacking her tail as she twitched it back and forth. But the most fun of all, the chasing. He loves to chase her.

With something new in the house Boo decided to put all his stalking skills to use and try them out on the helpless puppy. This was his big chance, he was a seasoned hunter after all. If he could take down even the most ferrous of Queen Cats, this little baby would be nothing. Ooooh the excitement. Here he goes, the opportunity awaits. With the prey chewing quietly on his toy the mighty hunter prepares himself for the kill. Ready position, haunches slightly arched, tail twitching he makes his move, leaping out of no where he lands on the prey. But to his surprise the prey turned predator, and the would be kill into a chase. So it didn't go as planned, but it sure was fun. Now they have a daily ritual of chasing and wrestling.

Boo the cat met his match and Archie found someone who understands his needs, someone he can call a friend.......

That pic is sooo cute! If my cat got along with another animal, I would seriously consider it. But unfortunetly, when there is another animal in the house she thinks it's funny to pee everywhere.
