A glorious day

Today we wanted to do this:

But with rain in the mountain pass we decided to do this instead:

It was a glorious sunny day...I love the sun.
Although we did come across a bit of this:
And with the sun, it melted the snow into this:

By the end of our ride the horses looked like this

And this

But a little mud never hurt a girl

Actually, I think she kinda liked her first mud treatment.

A girl always looks pretty with a little dirt on her!

Oh goodness... "a little mud never hurt a girl"... my mare would be snorting at you right about now ;) She is prissy and would have been thoroughly disgusted if I'd asked her to let her feet get dirty, ha ha.

And I laughed at your title... because Itty Bit has been watching a movie called "Mud, Glorious Mud", and this totally applies!

Majorly jealous that you got to ride - so fun!

Ok, I think I want a horse now. Problem is, I would probably need a step stool or ladder to get on the poor thing!

So who has to do the cleanup?
Still though, you're living a life many can only dream of.

What fun! People go to spas and pay money for people to cover them in mud- funny huh?! What a gorgeous day!

Wow after all that, the poor horse should at
least get a manicure. Great story in pictures - you ought to write kids books ... they are the only ones I can understand! W.C.C.

I'm not a good skier but that ride looks lovely, so it seems like a great deal to me! Though it was a bit muddy!

Where do you live Saimi??? I can't wait to get horseback riding. Hubby just had hip surgery in Sept. so he is dieing to get back in the saddle. We want to ride together so bad up in the hills.
I hate the mud................I will be really dreading that when things start to thaw out as I will have such a mess on my hands, but hey, I live in the country......country and mud go hand in hand.

Gorgeous! Sometimes you have to get a little mud on the tires, right? Or I suppose in this case, hooves.

How wonderful! I haven't been on the back of a horse for over 15 years! Your girl is sooooo pretty. I'm sightly jealous, though not about the hard work that horses are. They require a LOT of care!

My first time here, and I'm already a little jealous of you getting to go horseback riding. How cool that you live close enough to enjoy both the mountains and the other, too!
