Elephant Stew

I feel like I need to participate in the sharing of recipe's as everyone has been posting mouth watering festive foods and with Thanksgiving just around the corner, I think I've found just the thing ya'll might want to try.

It's perfect for large crowds, extended families and will literally feed an army. It's called Elephant Stew.

Ingredients:

1 elephant
Brown gravy
Salt and pepper
2 rabbits (optional)

Directions:

Cut elephant into bite-size pieces, season with salt and pepper then cover with brown gravy. Cook over low heat for about 4 weeks.  Serves about 4,200 people. If more are expected, the 2 rabbits may be added but do this only if necessary, as most people don't like to find hare in their stew.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

Sounds interesting- the only way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time...

And here, all this time, I thought Paula Dean had all the answers.
I'm in....now I only have to book a safari, or steal one from the zoo.
I could maybe put it in the back of my pickup...oh hey, I HAVE A HORSE TRAILOR, that would work

I was curious at first that you might have been to Africa and discovered some ancient tribal stew to reveal to the uneducated. I followed along the recipe until I realized it was a JOKE because everyone knows that you serve Elephant ONLY with white gravy! Happy Thanksgiving back at you! W.C.C.
