Got....SNOW

It happened just like the weatherman predicted. It started snowing yesterday, snowed all day long and kept snowing. So those of you who are thinking of me staying home in my comfy cozies, drinking hot chocolate and quilting away in my sewing room, forget it.

Actually, as fate would have it, school was NOT canceled, not in the least, not even a delay of any sorts. The buses were up and running and school was on time. Not that I don't love my preschoolers, I do, I really do but the best part of my day was coming home and seeing my neighbors out playing.

There was still hope. You see today's weather prediction was freezing rain. Freezing rain is the worst, I can hold out for another day. I just knew I would wake up hostage to a sheet of ice covering our house. School would for sure be canceled. Yes, I still had hope.

The morning came and no ice, not even a speck. I gathered myself and headed out the door. Then I felt it. Snow drops that were like little ice balls falling from the sky. This was my big moment. I turned on the radio and waited for the news....I waited with great anticipation......The radio man was listing all the schools that were closed....ours was not on the list.... he also listed the schools that had delays....ours was not on the list.
Not on the list people, our crazy school district was the only one in operation. Seriously what kind of insane district do I work for anyway??

Guess what? Those ice balls turned snow and it hasn't stopped.

My prediction, school will be canceled Friday...... the day I don't work.

That is an amazing amount of snow!
We haven't got any!
There is nothing on the ground even. So weird for us!

So in order to get school cancelled, apparently you need to have a child that unplugs the buses........don't ask.

You are just like a little kid hoping/waiting for the snow day :) I always hated it when my district tried to be the one brave one that kept going.

I can't even feel sorry for myself anymore - Ha Ha. This is much more snow than we got and we got rain after which melted it all by Friday!
I work for the same kind of district though - we would be the last ones to ever have a snow day!!!
I want to see a post with your snowman!! Yeah, cause I know you made one!!! Hee Hee

Gosh, that looks like fun! We're 89 degrees here today. The only way our school will be cancelled is if there's danger of heat stroke. Have a great time with your snow!

Around here, we get a snow day if even a little snow falls--our county doesn't have the equipment to deal with it. I hope you get a snow day soon. :)
