Rob Dyrdek, the host and creator of the show 'Ridiculousness', searches youtube videos of people doing crazy stupid stunts, in all their varieties, then compiles them in different categories. While airing each video on national TV, he'll poke fun and joke about each stint as well as rewind them over and over again to demonstrate how truly 'ridiculous' some people really are.
The husband and I join in by shaking our heads and laughing at all the silly, unbelievable most ridiculous acts people try to perform.
It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt right?
I'm so relieved there wasn't a camera pointed at me as I attempted to get on a moving treadmill the other day at the gym. I know right, I'm still going to the gym. Who woulda thought a girl who doesn't like to work, out is still going. Baffles me too.
The program we were working on was 30 seconds of cardio, 16 reps of weights, going back and forth between the two as fast as you can in a five minute span before switching to a different set of weights and cardio, where we'd start all over again.
My cardio happened to be a treadmill. When I was returning to the treadmill after doing my weight routine, my shoe caught the moving belt and I literally was swept away flying off the machine. No I didn't have the 'kill switch' attached to me and yes I'm OK just a few scrapes and bruises to remind me I better be more careful.
No worries, being the horse woman that I am, I got right back on that bronc of a machine and finished my workout.
Now had Rob Dyrdek seen what I had done, he would have had a great laugh at my expense, with good reason. Truly, I must have looked completely and utterly......ridiculous.

Whoa there, that is EXACTLY why I don't work at at a gym. I could see myself doing something just like that. So glad you weren't hurt (with the exception of maybe your pride).
Ah... Siami, I'm glad that only your pride got hurt and not you. I know all about those treadmills, that's why I got rid of mine. hahaha... The reason, they take too much space... yeah right...

Oh, I"m glad you are OK. You are one tough woman! I hope someone offered to help you up~
That could have been serious! Thank goodness you're ok. I still go to the gym too, and I always cringe when the person next to me is running at a very fast pace and jumps to the sides to get a quick drink, then back on the belt. I mean if they miss stepped in any way, it could get ugly real quick. NO ONE wears the clip, myself included.
I'm glad you're okay. I stepped into the same baby pool, on the same day, three times in a row and fell every time. The lifeguard was working hard not to laugh. My brother probably tried too but laughed anyway, I think I laughed. It really was ridiculous. My husband wished he had a camera because he figured we'd be rich from funniest home videos.
That is such a great show and be the I can see again and again and still laugh. Some of the stuff he shows is just unbelievable.
Perfect for someone judgey like me!
My son Holton and I love to watch that show! Glad you did not get hurt and that there were no secret video cameras taking video to send to Rob.
Oh girl I am so sorry! But it does sound pretty dang funny. I have never seen that show- I think I would like it a lot :)
Man, I have never heard of that show. I am glad you didn't get hurt, but knowing ME like I do....I probably would have laughed.
That's always what I do, I laugh at stuff when people fall, slip, whatever (OF COURSE I do make sure they are ok first)
Then I belly roll.
Glad you got back up on that nasty bronc
I shouldn't laugh but it does make for a funny blog post!--at least you didn't hurt your self! Good for you for getting back up into the preverbial saddle!
I've seen people do that before and it's scary...then funny. I'm glad you didn't get seriously hurt and kudos to you for jumping right back on! I guess that's proof that exercise can kill you! :)
See, us horsepeople are a tougher breed... the pain wouldn't have kept me away, but I think the shame would have been reason to never return to the gym again. Oh... and the hating working out part too ;)
Good for you!
