It's been a week and three days since my daughter in law had her surgery. She's home from her moms now where she spent a week recovering and although she's up and about, she still has to take it easy.

I plan on sticking around through the weekend then come Monday, I'll head home.

Grandma haircuts |
This coincides with my son's work schedule where when I leave, he'll be around to help with the boys.
When their mom came home one of the twins started getting worried that I'll be leaving soon. I assured him I'm not going anywhere for awhile and that I still have six more nights.

Ready for Halloween |
At bedtime he was a bit weepy and in a very sad voice said, I'm going to miss you Grandma Saimi in six more nights.

Everything Mario, New P.J.s |
Today as we were out and about he asked how many more nights and I told him four. He got real somber and once again told me he was going to miss me.

I'm going to miss you too, I said but I also miss grandpa and I've been gone a long time.
The other twin piped up and said we could just call him.
Yes, if only it was that easy.

Hi Saimi, You're such an incredible grandma, no wonder the twins miss you already. What a great tribute to you. My, my, they have grown so much already.
I'm still on blog break. I'm in the middle of preserving the bounty. I'm roasting some tomatoes with olive oil, garlic, basil salt and pepper, pickling and processing the rest of the tender crops and also decluttering big time.
Have a great fall. Hugs, Julia
How wonderful that you were able to help watch your grandsons while your daughter-in-law was recovering from surgery! It sounds like the twins really enjoyed your visit.
The next time you are in town LET'S DO LUNCH!!! I'm 15 minutes away!
I love seeing twins! They look like perfect little friends. And sheesh just call Grandpa!
I hope your daughter in law is recovering well.
I get to be the granny nanny next week.
So sorry your daughter in law had to have surgery and hope her recovery is coming along quickly and nicely!---and look at all the fun times you go to enjoy with these adorable boys! They are so so cute! Love seeing them get all excited over their costumes and doing their pumpkins. Looks like they sure kept you busy. We help out alot with our little granddaughter as her Mommy goes to school, and it's tiring, but such a "good tired" right? Oh I love that picture of the rainbow........so pretty!!
Thank you for your sweet compliments on yesterday's "orange" post, you are so kind and orange is not my favorite color to wear, but so nice of you to say so!
