Date night....late night?

Husband: Hey why don't we go to a movie tonight.

Me: Sounds good.

Husband: How about the new Spiderman movie? It's playing at the Cinema on 16th.

Me: Ok we can catch the 6:05 which will work out perfectly if we leave in time to do the horses first.

Our timing was pushing it when we arrived at the farm so I looked to see if the movie was playing at the other theater closer to the farm.
.
As luck would have it there was one that started at 6:10 giving us a better chance of not being late.

Me: So it would work out better if we went to the Majestic for the 6:10 showing since it's already 6:00.

Husband: If we head to the 6:05 we'll just miss the previews and at least its closer to home.

Me: Giggling.

Husband: What?

Me: The movie is two and a half hours, we'll be done by 8:30 what's a five minute drive home versus a 10 minute drive home. It's 8:30 on a Friday night at best we'll be home by 8:45. Not to mention we already had a nap.

The husband was already driving in the direction of the theater closer to our house but then turned so we can make it to the 6:10 showing.

Me: Yeah, remember how we used to go out at 9:00 and now you're acting like 8:30 is late, sheesh.

Husband: Chuckling.

We not only made it in time to find some seats, but to actually see the previews of the upcoming movies.

And guess what? We were home by 9:00.

That's so funny! The older my husband and I get, the earlier we go to bed! I'm glad you got to the movie and made it home at a 'decent' hour! :) What did you think of the movie?

AND the important thing is you had a Date Night!!!
Nearly all the movies around here have reserved seating and I need to get used to doing that. Louis Dean is not big on movies in theaters so I go with my daughters. So....you have a house and a farm? But close together.....

That sound a bit complicated, lol...You did a lot of time planning to finally arrive at the perfect time both ways. That is so funny. I hope the movie. I haven't gone to a movie theatre in years.
Hugs, Julia

My husband likes to be home early too, and in bed by 10:00pm. I'm still a night owl---I love to stay up late!
