Back to preschool. My days changed. I'm still three days a week but instead of working Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I now work Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. You know, I actually like having Wednesday off, not to mention the three day weekend....I have no complaints.
Attended two funerals. Two sweet little boys passed away from brain cancer. One was four and the other was five. Their families are very dear to us and their loss is ours as well. Although they will be missed I know they are in the arms of a loving Heavenly Father.
Birthdays, Birthdays, Birthdays. Middle son, me and the husband all celebrated our birthdays. I don't mind being 50 especially if it means being a Grandma. The husband surprised me with a huge birthday celebration, which included a 'roast' from our friends who came dressed in black attire, table decorations, over the hill hats and buttons. When your surrounded by wonderful friends and family, life doesn't get any better.
Saturday service project. Our church did a day of service throughout the community. Even the youth chipped in.
My claim to fame. I met Connie from Shady Creek Lane I know, I know I'm still pinching myself. She and her hubby were in our neck of the desert and stopped by. I even have one of her signature craft pieces. I'd buy out her entire supply if she would come back. Hint, hint Connie!
Fair time. Wrapping up the month and going to the fair. Something the husband and I love to do.
Just an 'oh, by the way' Youngest college son went river rafting on inner tubes with some friends. They didn't get on the water til 6 pm. Not only did it get dark on them, but they were chased by a Moose. Four hours later, wet, cold and a bit shaken up, they made it safely to shore.

Happy birthday to all of you! Sounds like it was a wonderful celebration.
So sorry to hear about those two little boys wo passed away. Praying comfort for their families.
Many highs and lows. My heart goes out to the families of those two little angels.
Happy birthday! You're almost exactly 20 years older than me. (I had a hard time with 30. Hope I get over it by the time 50 rolls around.)
We are having a stake service day tomorrow. When are those grandbabies due?
Happy Birthday, it sounds like you had quite the birthday celebration. Must have been loads of fun. Glad that your son and friends were not injured. It must have been an anxious time for you and them. Quite an experience to remember.
Have a great weekend. JB
You know, turning 50 wasn't as hard for me as turning 40 was. Weird huh? Now that I am in my 'comfortable middle' fifties I am beginning to dread the big 60 birthday. When I was a kid sixty was OLD!
Loved meeting up with you and will definitely give you a call the next time I venture your way.
Why in the world did he start so late? Silly boys.
Happy belated birthday! Sounds like you celebrated it right. So sorry about the funerals, that is tragic when it is young kids like that
That's a whole lot of things that took place for you and your family in September. You are so dang cute.
50, schmifty. Don't you love that 50 is the new 30 (or whatever they say) Or is it...50 shades of Gray ...HA HA HA
Sorry about the little boys...both brain cancer. How very very tragic.
Chased by a moose....no laughing matter there. They can be pretty dangerous. We have moose around here too, and one time while out walking, I kinda came eyeball to eyeball with one. It "wooofed" at me. I about peeed my pants, and sloooowly backed out into the field.
You have had a busy month. I am so sorry to hear about those two little boys. How come your son went river rafting so late? I bet the water was freezing. I would have been a little more than shaken up of I had had a moose chase me.
btw - You are stunning. Haven't you heard, 50 is the new 35.
Happy 50th! (You look amazing, by the way.) It's been quite the month for you! Moose are scary...when I was at Yellowstone several years ago, three or four moose came trotting by. They were at least 20 feet away from us, but that was close enough for me!
Sounds like a wonderfully busy month!
Happy Late Birthday!
Thanks again for visiting my blog. I always appreciate your comments.
Sorry to hear about those two boys--their poor families...The rest of your month sounds just about perfect, and a delayed happy birthday! :)
Happy belated birthday!!!! How fun - a party and roast in your honour! It is good to be surrounded by dear friends during such an important event in your life - even if they are all wearing black! :) Sounds like you had a busy weekend. Kelley's pendant will be on its way to you tomorrow afternoon. Please let me know when you receive it. There were 33 views on her post! :) Have a wonderful week.

happy birthday! life begins at 50!
Wow sorry about the funerals - tough stuff but in a weird way makes us thankful for all the GOOD stuff. Love you sched - sounds perfect to me! Nice post and all in all an excellent September! W.C.C.
Glad they got out safely!
Sandy
My work schedule is still up in the air this year. As I wait patiently for everything to be decided. I made up my own. I am working with a special needs student who is blind right now. I love it!
Two young boys lost to brain cancer, made me sad. Thank heavens we have been blessed with a great knowledge of our heavenly fathers plan to comfort us.
Being chased by a moose...that would be scary. You have been busy! Checking out Connie's blog. Have a great day.
So sad about the little boys. In 27 years in the public school, I haven't ever had a student that passed away. I can't imagine how hard that must be on everybody.
My oldest son was a white water raft guide for the past 3 summers; now he makes kayaks. My hubby said that moose are really scary, luckily we don't have those around here!
