Ironman

We recently watched the new Avengers movie, Age of Ultron. Gotta say, its pretty entertaining; the action mixed with humor was a great combination. Robert Downey Jr.  as  Tony Stark, is quite the transformer with his electromechanical suits of armor of his own invention, making him not only a super hero but a genus at that.

I've enjoyed all the Marvel Comic movies but a real life marvel, in my opinion, is my second born son who has always taken an interest in sports and fitness. As a kid it was T-ball, wrestling, football, basket ball, golf and later as an adult, more golf, cross fit, P90X, running, road biking, Mt. Biking, hiking and yoga.

He's very health conscious with his juicing and organic eating, making him the epitome of a lean mean muscle machine.

The last three years he has competed in our local Gap2Gap race in the Open Ironman category.  The race consist of a 3 mile trail run, 18 mile road bike, 8 mile Mt. bike, 3 mile kayak water course, ending with a 3.2 final run.

Ironman is where a person does the entire course by himself, as opposed to dividing it into a team much like a relay race.

My son took 2nd his first year and the last two years finishing ahead of the pack.

Ready to make the exchange

Water course
Final Run
Coming down the home stretch

His suit of armor was wasn't designed in a laboratory, on the contrary, by hard work and dedication. It's fueled by healthy eating and proper nutrition. I think Tony Stark, the genus that he is, could learn a thing or two on what a real Ironman is all about.

Good for him, he looks the epitome of health. I admire someone who has that kind of dedication and stamina.

He sure looks fit. My nephew does the Ironman also and he's a lean mean machine too. He works in a gym as a trainer and specialize in athletic injuries treatments.
They sure earn their muscular bodies through hard work. You must be very proud.

Wow! That's a handsome young man! Way better than a Hollywood Ironman any day.
