They came, they conquered, they wore me out

When the snow melts and its summer you can come back to grandmas house.

With a scary mountain pass between us no one travels it in the winter, I fly over for my winter visit to their house but the boys were chomping at the bit to come back and revisit their summer vacation at grandma's and grandpa's.

Our son had five days off his work schedule and decided to bring his family our way for a long weekend.

I was thrilled. Then I started calculating their actual stay time. A day to drive here and a day to drive home left only three days to play.

Hm, not long enough so I proposed an idea to my son and his wife about leaving the boys with us the rest of the week.

They agreed so I took three days off of work to make the plan happen.

The boys were thrilled.

Actually they were under the impression they were staying long before we did.

You see, the snow was melted and it was summer.

The fun began the minute they arrived and didn't stop until they left.

We played,

They worked:

Rode Grandma's horse:

Cheered their Uncle on in two races:

Hiked to a cave and explored with flashlights,

And were really happy to have made it out and
Celebrated by throwing rocks in a creek:
Their favorite meal was a Happy one:

We even took them camping, but that's a whole other post in it's self.

Have a great relaxing weekend, they sure are cute.

Hmmm....someone better check out those child labor laws. Poor things, they don't look like they are having any fun at all!

I can't believe how they have grown and they are so adorable.
Have you recovered yet???
