The Nanny Granny

My daughter in law, bless her heart, had to have surgery. Pretty invasive surgery in which she was going to need some help with her boys.
She asked me awhile ago if I would be available to lend a helping hand or two and let me just say, I was all over it.
Being able to spend time with the twins is a no brainer, all I needed to know was when to show up.
Her surgery was scheduled for Tuesday the 18th at 5:30 am, so I arrived the day before to settled in and get the low down on what the boys school schedule would entail as well as a few other helpful instructions.
It's been so great getting them ready for school, taking them there and helping in their classroom. Apparently they can't seem to get enough of school so with a few select students of their own, they have become the teachers.
We also have been busy with fun after school activities. This town of theirs has so much to do, I want to do it all.
Once Tabitha was released from the hospital she went to her mom's to recover and with my son's busy work schedule, the boys and I have pretty much been doing our own thing.
We haven't been total slackers. We've been keeping up with homework and housework as well, the only thing we struggle with is getting to bed on time. Luckily they have afternoon kindergarten so sleeping in hasn't been a problem.

The husbands birthday came around so the boys sent him some happy wishes.

It's never to early to start carving pumpkins when October is around the corner right?

We almost have one week under our belts and their mom will soon be joining us. She plans on coming home Tuesday of this week.

Although She's feeling better she will still need to take it easy. No worries there, the nanny granny isn't going anywhere soon.

Would you look at those smiles?! Your boys are so cute. I only regret not being closer to my 'little' granddaughters and making memories when they were small.

Those are such cute boys! And so are you.

Beautiful photographs - my grandchildren love pumpkins and carving them out.

They will go to pick their own a little nearer to Halloween.

All the best Jan
