"No, they are for George." I bought some chocolate covered raisins to send George for his birthday as well as some chocolate covered almonds for his companion. Costco is great because everything comes in large quantity, I figured a big container of his favorite candy would be a great Birthday present. The sweets were sitting on the counter for a day or two when the husband decided he could open them and start nibbling. Not a chance, I wiped his drool from the counter, grabbed the chocolates and took them down to my sewing room. Out of sight, out of mind.....or so I thought. Just the other day, I was coming out of the laundry room and noticed the birthday treats sitting on the bathroom counter. Odd, that's a weird place for them to be since I specifically put them in my sewing room. After I gave it little thought, I knew the husband was trying to be sneaky, but leaving them in the bathroom? Anyway, I took the chocolates and put them back into my sewing room.
We made another trip to Costco for some shelving so I mentioned to the husband why doesn't he pick up some chocolates for himself and then, proceeded to let him know I was on to him by asking what was the deal with leaving his loot on the bathroom counter. He got a silly, guilty grin on his face and confessed. Apparently when heard me come home and not wanting to get caught, he stashed them in the nearest place he could find, the bathroom.
I swear he's just like his Beagle. Archie continually takes things he knows he shouldn't have and runs down stairs to chew on it. The downstairs family room is like his little hide-a-way, I can guarantee if something is missing, I will find it downstairs. The husband and Archie are two peas in a pod that constantly keep me on my toes, sneaky, sneaky, sneaky!

He's an addict, poor guy.
Ha! That sounds like me. But I always stick my goodies in my sock drawer. That way I know no one will ever discover my stash.
Well written and very clever! That's hilarious he stashed them in the bathroom when he heard you get home- that's what a little boy would do! I like your background Saimi, it looks great!
