Mystery Date part two

After spending the better part of our morning shopping and walking around the flea market I was ready to see what else the husband had in store.

We drove out of the little town and into a woodsy area, I thought maybe he wanted to make out but we came to a camp site instead where our friends have a family cabin. OK so this is a surprise.  I had no idea our friends own a cabin in this tucked away beautiful little spot that borders a golf course. Their whole family and a cast of friends were camping that weekend making for a rowdy crazy time.

Since I'm dabbler of golf and a huge fan of having fun on the course, I fit right in with this bunch of red neck friends of ours. We assembled our teams, loaded up the clubs (they had an extra set for me) and we headed to the course.

The long drive

Yeah baby, that's what I'm talking about!

Mr. Redneck trying the ol' Happy Gilmore shot
Missing the ball with my Happy Gilmore

The husband doesn't golf but made an excellent caddy, he was never short on advice and always had my club ready in hand.  Although I learned a great way to keep your caddy focused, it helps to tip him.

At the 18th hole the husband caved to peer pressure, applied his caddy knowledge and gave it his best shot. The guys were not going to let him get away without at least giving it a try.

Wow, you would have thought he'd been swinging his whole life, that man drove the ball like a pro! Humm,we just might have another new hobby to explore together!!

The golfers
Thank you R & M for you wonderful hospitality and friendship!
It truly was an amazing day!

Sounds like a lot of fun. My husband's family likes to play golf, especially my bro-in-law. My father-in-law's father was at one time, a caddy for someone who played professionally, although I couldn't tell you who.

What a fun date! I'd like to have one or two of those myself before this widdle baby comes along and takes over. :)
