Back in the land of the living

They're everywhere and there is no escaping them. They are on just about everything you touch as well as in the air you breathe.

Unfortunately, they found their way into the husbands system and knocked him flat. The man has not been sick for a couple of years and I believe those nasty buggers thought it was his turn.

After our family vacation the husband landed a cold that decided to morph into a sinus and bronchial infection.

When he mentions he needs to see a doctor, I know he is close to deaths door.

He is not one to complain and will tough out anything. I threatened to call his boss so he can stay home and get the rest his body needed but since it was him I'd be calling I decided to call the doctor instead.

It was the physician assistant who attended him. After he described his symptoms she gave him two aspirins in the form of a nasal spray, netti pot, steroids, robitussin and mucinex  then told him to call her in the morning er, Monday if things didn't get better.

I'm thinking just give the man an antibiotic and let's be done with this nonsense but apparently, antibiotics are not on the first response list for a cure.

The good patient did as the P.A. recommended and took his concoction over the weekend but come Monday he was still worse for wear.

I called the clinic and a prescription was ordered.

Slowly his life was coming back and by Friday he was on the road to recovery.

With good weather ahead we decided to venture out and take our horses for their first ride of the season. Typically coming out of the winter the horses are full of vin and vigor and the first couple of rides are like taming wild beasts but they surprised us this year.

They were just as excited to get out as we were to ride them.

The wild flowers are so pretty right now. Gotta enjoy them while they last because they don't stick around long.

My man and his horse
It's so good having the husband back in the land of the living. This cold/sinus infection/bronchitis really knocked him down but it really makes you realize how much you appreciate good health.

Which in turn, is a excellent reminder to never take advantage of it.

That must have been a wopper of a bug to knock down your husband like that. I'm glad he feeling better again . Your husband's horse is so beautiful and i bet your's is beautiful too. I just think that the white tail with a black streak is very distinguished. I hope that you have good weather to ride as often as you can. It must be wonderful to ride together.

Hugs,
Julia

I'm so sorry! I know how he felt, I had the same thing, and my hubby is struggling with it right now...its a monster!! I'm so glad he's feeling better... :0)

I don't think, there is anything a good ride with a trusted friend won't cure. Love the photos...those daisies are beautiful. But, you're right, they won't last long!
