We sold the house 8 days after listing for our asking price.
Currently our home is pending on a contingent of the sale of the buyers house.
We have a closing date of August 24.
This works for us due to the fact our farm house isn't ready for move in.
My sister came to to town right in the thick of us showing the house but was a great help in keeping it tidied up every time we left for the day.
Her husband was traveling to Whidbey Island to spend time with his brothers and mom and while passing through our town, he dropped of my sister.
We stayed plenty busy riding horses
And on this particular day we left Dixie at home and to say the least, she wasn't happy.
So we decided to take her along on our next outing.
The horses weren't the only ones getting exercised, I made sure my sister joined our morning walking group.
We also picked raspberries and harvested some rhubarb.
We also loaded up Dixie and took her for a driving lesson.
Will, the instructor also tried my hand at driving a team so he hitched up two of his horses and let me have a go at it. I just gotta say, I'm hooked on this driving thing.
While we were there, Will let us both ride some of their Friesian horses. What a treat!!
Tacie is ready to retire, buy a horse and live next to me but she can't seem to convince her husband of her new found plan.
I also had her doing farm chores and shopping for furniture.Since We've always called the house on the farm, 'The farm house' I decided to go with the farm house decorating theme
and no longer need our existing furniture. It will be up for sale the minute our house closes.
Five days later we said our goodbyes as she hopped into the rental car and drove to Whidbey Island.
Its crazy how fast time goes but I'm thankful memories are forever.
Well, with that being said this is why I blog so I can make a hard copy of the books so as the memory fades I'll have something to help me remember......

You created precious memories with your sister, and I have long thought it would be a great activity to drive horses as you are learning to do, along with your pretty horse.
What a great visit with your sister! My sister was just here in Seattle, visiting from San Diego. She left about a week ago. It's hard to tell them goodbye!
I got truly excited just reading about your adventures with your sister and seeing all the beautiful pictures and I am in love with those Friesian horses and Dixie is just amazing. All of your horses are so gorgeous. So glad the sale of your home is moving along like you wanted it to
How wonderful that your sister came to spend some quality time with you and making sweet memories.
Hugs, Julia
