In our church the purpose of a baby blessing is to recognize the birth on the official records of the church, ask God for special blessings for the baby and for the family to celebrate their new addition. The blessing is done by a Priesthood holder, for Elsie, it was her dad. Typically its done in church about a month after a baby is born but under COVID circumstances that wasn't an option so Elsie's family decided to hold the blessing in Bear Lake with the permission of their church leaders.
Elsie wore the same dress her mom wore when she was blessed. She looked like an angel.
This was a very special day for our families as we gathered in the living room of a house Megan's family rented for the occasion.
Elsie was very polite as she greeted her cousins, appearing to be shaking their hands and thanking them for coming.
Our family took this opportunity to spend a few extra days enjoying the surroundings of Bear Lake and the wonderful KOA campground.
Bear Lake is famous for their raspberry shakes. Naturally we had to try them and it was a unanimous decision, we definitely concured. So much so, we had them just about every day.
When your hanging around the campsite there's nothing like snuggle time with the babies
Renting a boat for a two hour tour of Bear Lake was so much fun. It was a first for the boys and Elsie.
Oliver was a bit apprehensive but after awhile he warmed up and loved being on the water.
Oliver and Grandma Saimi
Sawyer and Grandpa
Emerson, Tabitha and the boys
The Guys
George, Megan and Elsie
Elsie was wasn't sure of the life jacket at first but didn't take long before settling in and lulled asleep by the rocking of the boat.
The beach is always a hit
When you have sun, sand and beach babes you pretty much have it all.
It was such a wonderful get away and a nice distraction from remodeling a house and trying to prepare one to sell.
Besides theres nothing that compares to spending time with family.
p.s. Bear Lake is the bomb and I can foresee another trip in the future.

Your precious blessing has now had her precious blessings! She is absolutely beautiful and that dress she has on is beyond beautiful. All the pictures are wonderful and I can see how much fun you had in the excitement for everybody. Now I close with I sure would love to hold that little French bull bulldog
What a cutie-pie that little one. She does look like an angel.
It looks like a wonderful family gathering. A great distraction from the remodeling and sale of the house indeed.
Stay well and happy.
Hugs, Julia
What a sweet way to bless the baby and also bless your family with some good quality time together; it all looks so wonderful.
