The Jail House Rocks

For the past couple of days, the husband has been in court. No, he's not a lawyer, judge or even a criminal, just a citizen called to duty, jury duty that is. For Archie, this means staying at home with the rest of the dogs locked behind a gate waiting for his dad to rescue him. Ever since the husband brought this little canine home, he became his dog. He goes to work with him, rides around in his truck and even became his home teaching companion, just a man and his dog. Well the man has been spending his time in the court room, and for the better part of the day, sitting around in a small conference area with 13 other juror's waiting, waiting, and waiting, I guess it can get rather monotonous. You're suppose to arrive on time, 8:00am sharp, but when they call you into the courtroom, it becomes a whole new ballgame. Your time is theirs and they'll call you when they need you, so then it becomes a waiting game. You wait, and wait, and wait some more. To keep it interesting, the husband decided to stir things up a bit. He managed to get everyone to wear the same colored shirt today, and as they were all sitting around in their blue attire, he started a pool to see who could come up with the closest time of when they would be summoned. Everyone pitched in a dollar and wrote down their time and within a minute of having to report to the courtroom, someone won. After lunch, the juror's in waiting decided to ante up another dollar and try their hand at guessing the time again. Meanwhile, back at home, Archie sits behind bars, while his dad is in court.

So funny! I would have loved to seen all the blue attire. That would have been a great Kodak moment. As for Archie, not so fun. hopefully jury duty for Ken doesn't last that long.

I think my blog would totally rock if you would let me steal a couple of Archie pics and post them.

Ken is a scary juror. A lawyer's nightmare! He gave me the dets yesterday and in the end, it sounded like a worthy experience.
