Muddy Buddies

So there's this recipe for a snack called muddy buddies which requires a good mixing and shaking of Chex cereal in a mixture of melted chocolate chips, peanut butter, butter, vanilla and powdered sugar. I've tasted it and I'm here to tell ya, it's very delicious as well as easy to make.

But there's an even better recipe for muddy buddies which also involves a good mixing and shaking but the ingredients are quite different.  This version requires:
  •  Friends
  • 15-20 various obstacles
  • 4 miles
  • Lots of mud
  • The mixing process can be tedious but it's crucial the buddies are evenly coated.
My son's the one getting tackled by the flying manic in a blue tutu, but like any good buddy, he wants to make sure is team mate was fully submerged.
The next step is to shake things up so the mud is fully distributed.

Once thoroughly mixed and shook they should look like this:
my son is the one on the left.
    Whoa-la, muddy buddies!

It's called the Dirty Dash and like the Chex cereal recipe, anyone can do this.

How much fun! They both look like great things to do, although I don't know if I'd ever get all that mud out...

ha ha...what a riot. Would YOU do that. I am not sure I'm into being covered by mud anymore.
They certainly look like they didn't mind though and they are all smiling.
I hope you had some of those OTHER, REAL treats on hand for the muddy buddies.

We did the Dirty Dash last year and had a ball! I never would have thought to equate it to "Muddy Buddies." Very cute idea.

Why didn't you do it? Next year, let's do it together!
