Tribute to Cody

Dear Cousin Cody,

I want you to know how grateful I am for you. If it wasn't for you I wouldn't have my boy. You see I was once homeless and wandering the streets when I was picked up by the animal shelter people. Not that having a roof over my head was a bad thing but living at the shelter is only temporary. Luckily for me a little boy was having a birthday and his parents were going to give him a small dog as a present. They found me at the shelter and took me home to surprise their young son.

This was huge step for my boys parents because they never liked little dogs. I didn't know it at the time but you must have made an impression on my family when they saw how  cool small dogs can be, like when you would do the whirlie, chase the shark in the pool and even jump on the floatie. You would go boating, hiking, play with small children, do fun tricks and take your mom for walks. Everything about you was amazing and after spending time with you, their little boy wanted a small dog too. I didn't come with a pedigree but I came with love.

 After a year or so of being with my new family they became fully converted to the idea of having  small dogs. That's when Oskar, a Miniature Schnauzer like yourself, joined our family but it didn't stop with us, they went on and brought home a Beagle puppy they named Archie. 

So you see Cody, you saved me, you save my life. Because of you, I have a home, a family, my comrades Oskar and Archie and best of all..... my boy.
