Merry Christmas

I didn't send out a Christmas letter this year, then I remembered last year my neighbor teased me for not doing my annual poem. I guess I'm slacking and I couldn't give them a card without a poem so this was written for them. I change the ending for my blogging friends.

The year has blown by and coming to an end,

I can't believe it's possible we'll be in 2010.

Allow me to reflect on our activities of 09,

So much has happened with this family of mine.

The men went to Alaska for fishing and fun,

They all caught their quota of Halibut and salmon.

I took a trip, spent time with my sister,

Three weeks of bliss, it couldn't have been better.

The house was updated, new floors, paint and decor,

The transformation is amazing, had you'd seen it before.

Ken's a farm boy with tractor in hand,

He enjoys his new machine and tilling up the land.

We added horses to our animal crew,

One wasn't enough, so we now have two,

George left for his mission, in Mexico he resides,

The native language he speaks and the gospel he provides.

Derek's still in school at CWU,

One more year and that boy will be through.

Emerson's job is teaching dogs to mind,

The Alpha of the pack, he understands the canines.

I've had a bit of surgery but I'm on the mend,

The leg is healing, it's getting the knee to bend.

I hope all is well, and wish you the best,
