She's here but not by her own accord. This little missy was due March 15 but wasn't ready to leave the warmth and comfort of her mama's belly and decided to stay another 5 days before her mama had enough.
Our son George checked his wife into the hospital on the evening of the 19th. The following morning they started her on induction medication. When those weren't working the doctor broke her water.
That got the contractions moving but not the baby, she was staying put but when her heart rate started stressing the doctor was concerned enough to take her cesarean.
Despite her efforts to stay in her mothers womb, Elsie Shea entered the world on March 20th at 4:30 pm weighing in at 8lbs 6oz and 20 1/2 inches long.
They'll be in the hospital for a couple more days. After Megan is released I'll wait impatiently for them to settle in and hopefully for her to get some much needed rest before the husband and I come meet our newest grandbaby.
Until then, I'm loving FaceTime best invention ever!
