Aprils dessert was delivered by her son, so I didn't get the official name of what it was called but I'm telling you it was to die for. She had made a graham cracker crust loaded it with lemon filling and smothered whip cream over the top.
There once was a time where you couldn't get me to touch, let alone taste anything with a lemon filling. I would not, could not, in a house, I could not, would not, with a mouse or in a box with a fox or in a boat with a goat. Actually the time was not that far back. Only up until a month ago I braved eating a lemon bar, simply because I didn't want to appear finicky or rude. I took a very small piece and bit a tiny portion, just to be safe.
It was the most amazing thing I have ever tasted and I can't believe I had been depriving myself my entire life. That lemon bar opened a whole new world for my taste buds and I knew I could never go back.
With Aprils dessert in the fridge, I became a consent visitor with fork in hand. With a nibble, nibble here and a nibble, nibble there I pretty much nibbled it away. I'm thinking the husband only had one serving. I hope this isn't a foreshadowing of the months to come or I'm gonna have to increase my not so consistent Pilate's routine.
Oh by the way, here's what the dish looked like after I licked it clean.

Yum, a dessert a month. Now that's a great idea. I mean for me to bid on. Stopping by from MMB.
I don't think I could touch a lemon dessert. You were brave - maybe I would try it just because you did and you don't like it either. Peer pressure.
