Who's on First?

Ever have one of 'those days?' You know the kind where you have it totally planned out, been on the calendar for months and it's pretty much set in stone then a jackhammer comes along aaaaannnnd, ccccchhhhhaaaaggges iiiitttt uuuup.

Mine was like that today. My Friday of all days. I like to start the day by sleeping in, and whatever I have scheduled on the calendar doesn't start until after 10:00. Today my scheduled plan was to have my hair done at 10:30 then 1:00 attend my quilt class which goes til 4:00. Sums up the day nicely.

The only thing I needed to finish was cutting my material and having the pieces ready to go for the class. I figured Thursday night would be a good time, except my friend called for a girls night out to the movies. We watched "Letters to Juliet." No harm I can finish cutting when I get back from the movies. The husband also informed me I needed to take my car down to the dealership so they can program some new keys we had ordered, at 8:00 am Friday morning. Friday morning? Friday morning?  Don't you know Friday morning doesn't start until 10:00?.....Hel-lo

Then I get a call from my quilt teacher asking if I can come at 9:00 instead of our scheduled time of 1:00.
Let's see, 8:00 car, 9:00 quilt and 10:30 hair......Whatever.

I come back from the movies and stay up until midnight cutting material. 8:00 came too soon. None the less, I head down to the dealership, take care of the car/keys and book across town to my class. Class is usually three hours but I only get to stay for an hour due to my hair appointment, which I was not going to miss.

I was able to make one block before I had to go, and I'm sure the17 more I needed to sew will go smoother as long as I don't biff it like I did the first one. They called it my signature block and said it will be fine. Ha! signature block. Anyway, I gathered up my sewing stuff and drove back across town, made my hair appointment in the nick of time only to hear my hair stylist ask if I can come back at 12:30. Ahh fine, 12:30 it is. It's too late to return to my quilt class, so I went home. The husband called and reminded me I needed to go sign some papers. Something that had to do with refinancing the house. The thing is, we already signed 500 sheets of paper just the day before, but they forgot to include the papers that ask about the color and size of our underwear, but I'm pretty sure that was the only question left they needed to know.

Drove back across town, signed the papers, had lunch with the husband and made it, once again, to my rescheduled hair appointment. Came home and the husband called again and asked if I could go back down to the refinance place, pick up the check and deposit it in the bank. Sure, better get the money before they think of another question to ask.

By the time it was all said and done, I didn't know if I was coming or going.

I hate self portraits but here's the new style. I had her tone down the color because it always seems to lighten over time and by my next appointment my hair is really blonde. Anyway, that was my day, how was yours?

What a crazy day you had. How did you like the movie? I think your hair looks great. I'm do for a cut and color too. Actually I'm overdo- it's getting pretty bad. My excuse is I have no time to fit in a hair appt. Isn't that sad.

Thank-you for coming to the movies. I had fun. I guess it was good I didn't suggest going to get something to eat other than popcorn. You would have gone cause you can't say no,but you would have not gotten any squars cut.

I love the hair. The color is great :)

What a busy beaver you are. . .work like a beaver, be an acheiver! :) Sounds like you packed alot into your day! I love your hair, it looks great! I went to see Letters to Juliet tonight with my friend, and we both enjoyed it. Tried to call you, but you are probably already in bed! Whew, especially after a day like today!

Love the hair, very cute picture! Mine is still recuperating from the "lesbo" haircut from six weeks ago. I could probably go another two or three weeks. I agree, on your day off you should be allowed to sleep in! That is VERY IMPORTANT! It is why we work hard all week, so we can sleep in for one day!

I couldn't find your email so I'll just leave another comment. My daughters wedding is August 6th. We've got a lot of ideas but nothing set yet.

Hey! Cool blog. Cute haircut. And I wish I could make myself finish the four quilts hanging around this place. All they do is make me feel bad about myself. lol

I love the hair. I think it frames your face so well!
I know exactly how that goes - making all sorts of plans ahead of time just seems to make things even crazier!

So sorry your day didn't go as planned, but - I LOVE the hair ... I mean, if you have GREAT HAIR, then everything else is OK by me!! ;) (How was the movie? I really want to see it!) I don't think I've had a day go as planned in quite a while. I'm starting to plan them "crazy" in the hopes that the plans will get mixed up, and then maybe I'll end up with the kind of day I really want. (Reverse psychology - huh?) Thanks for leaving a note on my blog! I'm so grateful you stopped by! I'll be back to see more from you soon!
