I've had dogs my entire life, breeds of all shapes and sizes. When I was younger I favored the larger dogs. So it was the Collie, Doberman, and Shep/Collie mix that ended up on the family farm. After I was married, we had a couple of Boxers and Airedales, another Shepard and even downsized to a small Terrier and Miniature Schnauzer. Each dog had it's own personality but they also we're very similar. They loved attention, were very loyal, and did a cute little dinner dance. Dinner time is such a happy time but when it's over, it's over and they move on to the rest of the evening. Then there came the Beagle. He loves his attention, I assume he's loyal, he does his dinner dance, but when it's over, it's not over. He continues to search for more food and will gobble down the other dogs dinner if the opportunity presents its self. This is why Archie eats in the garage and the other dogs eat in the house. When Archie is done, he will scratch at the door begging to come in, but I make him wait until everyone is finished. "Scratch, scratch, let me in, scratch, scratch, I must find more food!!" One particular day, Archie was not scratching at the door. This is very odd for the Beagle and completely out of character. Seriously, he downs his food in a second flat then begs to come in so he can search for more kibbles. I decided to check up on the little hound dog.
Enough of that, I brought the bloated puppy in the house then turned my attention to making dinner and cleaning out the refrigerator. There is always something in the fridge that can get thrown away, unless one is doing a science experiment on food mold. As I turned my back to toss out the science experiment, Archie decided to help himself to some dessert.
Anyone for some chocolate syrup? I hear it goes great after a hearty meal of dog chow.

Archie is just like a 2 year old. You thought you were done with that stage. We had a basset beagle mix and he was the funnest dog with the most personality. We missed him still.
I love that dog. He is so darn cute!
Hilarious
Just like a kid. And you thought you were an empty nester. Love it!
Watching his behavior you would think he is on the verge of starvation! Did you know sugarless gum with Xylitol can be deadly for dogs? I learned it's a type of sugar they cannot digest. I learned that at my dental hygiene convention!
