Today marks the one year anniversary of my new found obsession, blogging. I can't believe I've been blogging for a year, even more remarkable, is how I've evolved. I knew nothing of the blogging world, really. It was a friend of mine Mary Darcy who got me interested, I started reading her post on Quite Contrary and was hooked.
I didn't have young children at home to write about, nor am I a fantastic photographer like Mary, but I did have a new little puppy named Archie, and so began my entrance into the blogging scene. Archie gave me something to write about. From there I've branched out, threw in some family posts and even took on a second blog and started writing about my experiences in the preschool classroom Three days a week.
I've made new friends, acquired a few followers and actually receive a couple of comments every now and then, but the real shocker came when I got my first blogging award from Linda on See Mom Smile. An award! Who would have ever thought? Not only would I like to show it off and give a grand acceptance speech, but also pass it on. The problem lies with my computer limitations, as I have tried to cut and paste it but somewhere I'm missing the boat and it's just not working for me.
I'm sure somewhere in the higher realm of the blogging world, if I ever get that far, I will learn how to pass on an award, create a button, add advertisements and personalize my blog with fancy settings.
But for now I would just like to thank all of you who read my silly posts and leave a comment or two. Without you, blogging wouldn't be any fun.
